  1. Heat the oven to 375℉
  2. Put the softened butter in a medium mixing bowl. Add the sugar and brown sugar. Using the back of the spoon, cream the sugar into the butter until it is smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix into the butter until it’s fully incorporated and slightly fluffy.
  4. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  5. Fold the chocolate chips into the cookie dough.
  6. Spoon out 1 to 1 1/2 heaping tablespoon globs of the cookie dough on a parchment-lined baking pan. Leave about 2 inches between each ball to allow for spreading.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes.
  8. Remove from tray and let cool.
